About Us

Mt. Hermon Preschool Center was opened as a preschool center for 4 year-old students in September 2004.  Our educational facility is designed to service 250-275 students.  We have a small but highly qualified, dedicated staff whose main goal is to reach and teach all children.

8:40 a.m. - 3:20 p.m.      School Hours

Parents: Please DO NOT bring students to school before 8:30 a.m.  Adequate supervision of students cannot be provided by our faculty and staff before this time.

Attendance
Attending school regularly is necessary for success in school.  Those students who have perfect attendance will be given special recognition.
A. Absences - If for some reason your child is absent from school, please send a note on the day that your child returns from  school.  Also, please call the school to inform and leave a message for the teacher not to expect your child on the day of absence.
B. Tardies - Children who are tardy should be signed in at the main office. Please provide a note if your child has been to the doctor or other appointments. You will be issued a visitor's pass to walk your child to class.  Please leave the pass with the classroom teacher.
C. Early Dismissals - Please sign your child out, obtain a visitor's pass, and proceed to the classroom to get your child. Please leave the visitor's pass with the teacher.

Bus Dismissal
Please do not park your car in the bus zone after 3:15 p.m. Some buses arrive earlier than dismissal.

Cafeteria
The Breakfast Program is available for all students from 8:40 a.m. - 9:15 a.m. daily.  Studentss should enter the building using the front door and will be escorted to the cafeteria to eat with their classes.

*Applications for Free and reduced lunch are located in the main office.

Bus Transportation
Transportation is porovided for students who live a mile or more from school. Students are assigned a bus and are not to ride a different bus unless a note is sent to the principal and a call to tranportation explaining the change.  All changes must be received in a timely manner to enforce the new change.  If a student's behavior creates a safety hazard on the bus, the student may be deprived of bus riding priviledges.  Parents will be expected to transport the student to and from school if a bus suspension occurs.  The safety and behavior of the student at the bus stop are the parent's responsibility.  If you have questions or concerns for the Transportation Department, please call 393-8269.
